Audion (UK)
Re-reading my review of Seaworthy & Matt Rösner’s Snow Melt in Audion 66, this new one seems to inhabit similar territory in that it mixes instrumental elements with anomalous sound textures. The main difference would seem to be the frame of mind, as here they paint audio tapestries of a much more tranquil nature. I could say it’s like Brian Eno’s ambient modes transformed into an avant electroacoustic type mode that sometimes sounds like the more freeform sections of some post-rock artists. Well, it is and it is not.
