An album that takes his trademark pointillist synthetic structures and impeccable sound design and places them in a web of fragility.

Back to ReleaseThe slight tremor of the pads, the undulating nature of the textures and the somewhat colorful aspect of the melodic contributions make it possible to create a certain emotion, a feeling not necessarily linked to the work of Arovane until now.
A shimmering fireworks display in the midst of the all-determining silence.
The 10 tracks cover quite a variety of moods. from low-fi and murky through to crisp sonically complex fabrics.
The mood of these pieces is harmonious and forgiving, no lockdown depression here. On the contrary, even the sonically darker pieces such as “Sunter” or “Sicht” are predominantly in major and radiate something friendly, difficult to verbalize and are engaging.
There’s a definite drama to the music, which at times takes on an almost cinematic character, but it’s also grey and subdued, its wistful tone seemingly the perfect accompaniment for a bout of long-overdue introspection.
Arovane offers us a moment of inner tranquility, a hypnotic journey towards tactile surfaces leaping in the distant echoes of a broken melancholy. Superb.
A very positive development. It is never too late to try something new, especially if you succeed as well as here.
Done with such dignity and grace, Arovane creates a powerful work all without needing to raise their voice.
To be played on infinite repeat all night.
